Subway Stories – Death Trap Dreams

September 6, 2012 By Andre Archimbaud

My mind woke up awash in poison.
Thoughts had crept, created a din.
A noise so loud, a fear shrouded in pain.
With my day underway, how can I begin?

Death trap dreams about how & when I’ll die.
Bound to bed & gagged by life…
Writhing in this pain.
Each time I close my eyes.

People, places, things all removed before my sight.
Replaced by endless nothingness.
Goes on & on.
Endless death, this plight.

Shadows fall around my mind…
Wishing I was blind…
This blindness of all kinds.
Let it serve as a reminder of life’s path & passion.

My mind woke up awash in poison.
Thoughts arrived, but will subside.
Time will pass. Bring the rain.
And with my day underway, wash away this sin.

sharing is caring!
