Subway Stories – Falling

January 21, 2010 By Andre Archimbaud

Falling freely…flailing
Can feel that I am ailing
Can’t seem to stop the wailing
Need to feel I’m sailing…

Disconnect and disengage
Have to be
To turn the page

The wreck of things
That’ve become of me
Cannot stand another day at sea
Need to find the shore…before.

Falling freely…flailing
Can feel that I am ailing
Can’t seem to stop the wailing
Need to feel I’m sailing…

The tatters and scraps that remain
Have never seen sun, only rain
Want the reys to beat down upon me
The seasons to take their shape and toll.

All the snow
The brown leaves
All the rain
All the pain

I am on the inside.
The real me is here.
I rest inside my loneliness
Crying the world’s tears.

Disconnect and disengage
Have to be
To turn the page.

Falling freely…flailing
Can feel that I am ailing
Can’t seem to stop the wailing
Need to feel I’m sailing…

Disconnect and disengage
Have to be
To kill the rage.
