Sorry to have missed posting yesterday. I was home sick and therefore was not on the train and therefore did not write.
As I start this, I am uncertain what to say about anything. I could touch on this being the last weekend of the baseball season and while I do not have the rooting interest I would normally – the Yankees are out and the Sox are in. It is something to be at the end of another season. Seems like yesterday that it all started.
I could also write about what’s going on in politics. We seem to be at another stalemate with the presidential election and the economy.
I guess I am floored by folks who fight so tooth-‘n-nail for the republicans, yet every 8 or 12 year period of republican rule over the last 80 years – save Eisenhower (and he was a republican the way Mike Bloomberg’s a republican) – has been marred by financial scandal.
Worth noting that while I usually vote democrat, I am registered Green. So, it quite literally makes no sense that ‘We The People…’ would even remotely entertain replacing this current regime with another that seems to want the same sorts policies.
I could also write how, as much as I’m in love with New York City, I could do without this city when it rains like it did yesterday and as it will today and tomorrow. I made this comment about 18 years ago about the city, and while it’s cleaner here than ever before, it still rings true: New York City – the only city that makes its own gravy.
But I think I mostly want to talk about how it’s friday and I get the next 2 days off! 🙂
