Subway Stories – Mint Julep Mouth

September 30, 2010 By Andre Archimbaud

Open up…
Open it wide.
Let the words pour out of your mouth
Your tongue is the mint leaf
In the sweet creamy drink.

The words that spill
From your lips
Lilt gently in the air
Like a soft southern breeze.
So sure to please…

Mint julep mouth
From way down South.
Mint julep lips
Precursor your hips
The things you say
Depict the way
You are.

Black hair, green eyed
Devil wearing your disguise
Slippery slope
Just learning to cope.
Mint julep mouth.
