Sadly, I have little to say today. I like to be a positive guy and there is not a lot to be positive about today. I mean, yes, it’s a gorgeous day here in New York City. It’s our first day of near cold temperatures. However, other than basking in the day, there’s little else to be up about. Business is getting harder and harder to do. People are getting laid off left and right. So, it’s up to me to keep things light and lively…and that’s harder to do than ever.
That said, I am sitting on this 6 train making my way downtown. I am listening to the one and only Johnny Hartman. I love Johnny almost more than any other male vocalist – alive or dead. He keeps me light and lively. I guess that shall be my theme today – how to stay up in a down economy. I don’t doubt that this will get harder, but I prefer to focus on the good things! Like Johnny Hartman…and good bourbon.
