Subway Stories – Obama Interview

November 17, 2008 By Andre Archimbaud

I watched last night’s ’60 Minutes’ interview of Barack Obama. As I have gotten to see more of this man, I see less of what I thought I disliked. I know that’s a queer thing to say, but…a year ago, I was unsure of who this guy was. Trust me, it had little to nothing to do with his exotic name. It had everything to do with a perceived aloofness. Of course, I still voted for him 2 weeks ago.

That said, almost all of that sentiment has been washed away from my mind. After last night, I see Barack Obama as a thoughtful, pensive (there is a difference) person who cares deeply for his family, his country and the world.

I do believe that his international background will hold his steadfast in his ability to run today’s United States of America.
